Santa Muerte Tarot is one of the most striking decks by Fabio Listrani, the artist behind the popular Night Sun Tarot. Inspired by the Mexican celebration of Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) and the mystical figure of Santa Muerte, the deck reveals death not as an ending, but as a natural part of the eternal cycle of life, transformation, and spiritual rebirth.
Vivid processions, masks, flowers, candles, and the festive spirit of the Day of the Dead come alive in every card. Fabio Listrani weaves together the traditional symbolism of the Waite system with Mexican folklore, shamanic beliefs, and contemporary esotericism, creating a deck with extraordinary emotional depth. Behind the striking imagery lie themes of transformation, acceptance, release from fear, and the understanding that every ending marks the beginning of something new.
Although it belongs to the category of dark decks, Santa Muerte Tarot carries no gloomy energy. On the contrary – it reminds us that life and death are two sides of the same whole, and that every change is an opportunity for spiritual growth. The arcana reveal the hidden processes behind events, inner fears, the strength of the human spirit, and the path toward personal transformation.
Its rich symbolism, Fabio Listrani's distinctive artistic style, and evocative details make Santa Muerte Tarot a favourite choice for tarot readers, collectors, and anyone seeking a deck with a deeply philosophical and spiritual message.
