Tarot Original 1909 is an authentic reproduction of the legendary deck created by Arthur Edward Waite and illustrated by Pamela Colman Smith. First published in December 1909, it laid the foundations of modern tarot and became the most recognised and widely used deck in the world. Most contemporary tarot systems and methods of interpretation are built upon its symbolism.
This edition recreates the original vision of the 1909 first publication as faithfully as possible. Thanks to high-quality printing, the colours, details, and distinctive atmosphere of the historic deck are preserved, allowing practitioners to connect with the symbols exactly as Arthur Edward Waite and Pamela Colman Smith conceived them more than a century ago.
Every card carries a wealth of archetypes, occult symbolism, and esoteric references, making Tarot Original 1909 an indispensable tool for both beginners and professional tarot readers alike. This deck remains the benchmark for studying the Waite system and continues to inspire millions of people around the world.
The edition includes a detailed guidebook written by renowned tarot author and researcher Sasha Graham, helping you develop a deeper understanding of the cards and their symbolism.
