“There are dreams we forget while the coffee is still brewing. And there are those that have evidently decided that, since we did not understand the first time, they will come again.”
You wake up and for a few seconds you are still somewhere else. A moment ago you were talking with someone you have not seen for fifteen years, walking through a city that exists on no map, running towards a train that has stubbornly decided to leave without you, or once again in the same house whose every last door you know only in your sleep. Then comes the morning, the coffee and that question which is hard to shake off: why did I dream exactly this?
Dreams gather people, places, fears, memories and experiences in a way that rarely respects the logic of our waking life. A former partner appears just as a new relationship begins. A relative who has died comes during a period of family change. An unfamiliar city returns when you are already thinking about moving. The nightmare about being late starts in a week when the calendar has evidently decided to check how many tasks can be fitted into one person. And the recurring dream appears years later and brings the same street, the same room or the same person, only this time one small detail is different.
That detail is exactly what interests me.
Because the meaning of a dream is rarely hidden in a single symbol. For one person a house is the home of childhood, for another the dream of a place of their own, and for a third a life that has already grown too small. A train can be a missed opportunity, a move that is coming, or the sense that time is running faster than the decision. A person from the past can carry love, absence, an old choice, or a version of you that you have not met for a long time. So in “Dreams: The Night Messenger” we will not look up the dictionary meaning of the images. We will look for the connection between the dream and your life now.
The tarot spread is divided into four different directions, according to what stayed with you most strongly on waking. If what you remember above all is the person, you will follow why exactly that face appeared and what in your relationship still touches the present. If you remember the place, you will see what it says about home, work, belonging, freedom or the direction you are already looking towards. If you woke from fear, you will look for the real theme that has become strong enough to receive a whole night-time production with pursuit, falling, being late, an exam or missing brakes. And if the same dream keeps returning over months or years, you will follow its history back to its first appearance and forward to what is already beginning to change.
These four readings can give more than an explanation of one strange night. They can connect the dream with a person you still carry inside you, with a decision that is ripening, with a place you have outgrown, with a pressure that during the day you successfully call “I will manage”, or with an old story whose rules you keep following years after it ended. And when the dream repeats, you will already have another question besides “why again?” — what is different this time?
The person may come closer. The door may open. You may find the way. You may manage to say what you could not say before. You may reach the place where the dream has always ended and discover that the story goes on. It is precisely these changes that can be the most interesting trace, because the dream no longer keeps only what has been. It begins to reflect the person I am today as well.
Choose the variant according to what you remember most clearly on waking — the face, the place, the fear or the repetition. Then let the cards connect the night scene with the daytime story. Because a dream may last five minutes, while the question it brought with it evidently intends to stay a little longer.
Touch the picture. Only your variant opens.
Main question: “Why does this particular person come into my dream, and what connects their face with my life now?”
You wake up and the first thing you remember is the face. The place is already fading, the conversation is left in pieces, the plot slowly evaporates with the first coffee, but the person is clear. It may be a former partner, a present love, a friend, a relative, someone you have not seen for years, someone close who is no longer alive, or an entirely unknown face that in the dream you knew as though the two of you shared a long biography. And naturally the morning investigation begins: why him and why now?
One face can carry a whole period of life, an old love, a sense of home, a choice that changed your direction, an absence that still speaks, or a version of you that you have not met for a long time. So we will follow what connects the person with your present life, who you were around them, what you already know about your relationship, what you have added to their image over the years, and whether after the dream the same story will give a sign during the day as well. With a relative who has died we will speak about the memory, belonging, family history and what you have kept from your bond with them. With an unknown face we will look for what kind of closeness, person or future has been given an image in the dream. And with a former partner, I would wait at least until the end of the reading before the telephone happens to find its way into your hand at half past two in the morning.
What we develop: What the real theme is between the dreamer and this image. Why the presence of a person is the centre of the dream.
Cards: Two of Cups · Six of Cups · The Lovers · Three of Swords · Ten of Pentacles
Between you and this image there is a history of connection that has left a trace far longer than the event itself. Closeness, a shared past, an important choice, a painful moment and the idea of the place two people can hold in each other's lives are all woven into it. For one person that will be love, for another friendship, a family bond or a closeness that never received a clear name. You may have dreamed of someone you were happy with, someone you lost, or the one around whom you once made a choice that changed far more than a single relationship.
Your present life probably touches the same thread. A new relationship may awaken the memory of an old love, a family decision may bring back the image of a parent or relative, and the thought of home, marriage, separation, children or moving may call up a person with whom you once connected a similar future. The reason may also be a good event. You have achieved something and suddenly you want him of all people to see it, you have met someone and remembered how you once loved, or you have entered a new stage of life and the old face has come along with the memory of the previous one.
With a relative who has died, the image may be connected with a moment in which you are again looking for the sense of home, family or support you had around them. It is possible that you have reached an age, a role in life or an event that connects you with their story in a particular way. With an unknown face, notice what kind of bond you had in the dream. You may have known that you were partners, you may have lived together, parted, or simply felt an inexplicable closeness. The dream may have given a face to the way you want to feel with someone, before the real person has a name and a biography.
The first trace lies in a simple question: “What from the story with this person am I living through again in my life now?”
What we develop: What this person stands for now — closeness, belonging, desire, loss or a pattern of relating.
Cards: Queen of Cups · King of Wands · The Empress · The Emperor · The Hermit
The person carries with them a particular way in which you felt around them. You may have been loved, wanted, protected, cared for, inspired, restricted, or left alone to find your own answers. It is precisely that version of you that matters now. One face may bring back the tenderness you are missing, another may awaken your bold and passionate side, which lately has become suspiciously well behaved, and a third may remind you how much you used to accommodate a person whose opinion weighed more than your own.
Remember what he was like in the dream. If he took care of you, embraced you, or his presence brought you a sense of closeness, exactly that kind of emotional security may be missing in your present relationships. If his presence was strong, attracting and almost physically tangible, a desire you have long left in the background may be waking again. If around him you felt home, care and a life that grows, you probably already want to create something of your own — a relationship, a family, a space, work or a new way of living.
A more commanding or distant image brings back another story. It is possible that you are still seeking the approval of people who give it reluctantly, that you treat other people's rules as more important than your own, or that you choose people who always keep part of themselves out of reach. If the person was far away, silent or seemed to slip away constantly, look at whether a similar distance is not already present in your life today.
The most precise question is: “Who am I when I am beside this person?” The answer may explain why it is his face that has returned.
What we develop: What the dreamer already senses about this bond or about the person's role in their life.
Cards: The High Priestess · Ace of Cups · Eight of Cups · Justice · Four of Cups
Somewhere inside you already know what this person means to you. You may still have feelings for him, you may understand why you left, you may sense that something unsaid has stayed between you, or you may have reached the slightly uncomfortable discovery that what you wanted so badly years ago is no longer what you want today.
With an old love the feeling may still be alive, without that automatically meaning a wish to bring the relationship back. You may love the memory, the time you had together, or the person you were then. In another story you understood long ago why you left, and his appearance in the dream comes just when some present situation begins to resemble the old one.
It is possible that you are waiting for something from him and know it perfectly well. An apology, an admission, an explanation, a call, a choice in your favour, or that conversation which in your head has already been held forty-seven times and in every version you were brilliant. The real conversation may never look like that, but the need behind it remains important: what would change for you if you finally heard those words?
With a relative who has died, you may have known for a long time exactly what you miss about them. The way they accepted you, the feeling that there was someone to turn to, the family home, or that particular luxury of talking with a person who knows the whole backstory and needs no summary starting from 1998.
Finish one sentence quickly: “I already know that between me and this person…” The first words usually say more than the long reflection that follows them.
What we develop: What stays out of sight — idealisation, attachment, projection, an old pattern or a need for recognition.
Cards: The Devil · Seven of Cups · Five of Pentacles · Five of Cups · Six of Wands
Over time the person may have grown larger than their real role in the story. Memory is a talented editor: it keeps the favourite scenes, heightens some painful moments and quietly cuts the tedious details. So an old love can gradually turn into “the only real one”, a parting can start to sound like proof that you will always be left, and someone's silence can carry on asking questions about your own worth years later.
There may still be a strong attraction, jealousy, guilt or curiosity about what would have happened if the story had continued. It is possible that you have kept an idealised version of the person and gradually forgotten how much more complicated real life with them was. Behind all of it there may be a very simple need: to be chosen, seen, valued or acknowledged by someone whose opinion once meant far too much.
A present situation can also unlock the old image. Someone moves away and the familiar feeling of abandonment comes back. Someone is slow to answer and memory immediately finds a suitable archive. Someone makes you fight for attention again, and in the dream the person appears around whom you once fought the very same battle.
With the unknown face you may have created an image of the person with whom everything will finally be easy: they understand you without explanations, they choose you without hesitation and they probably never snore. The dream is wonderful, as long as you leave room for the real person too, who may one day arrive with a character of their own, a past, and strange ideas about the correct place for the remote control.
The question becomes very personal: “What am I still expecting to receive through this person?”
What we develop: What is important for the dreamer to understand through this person's appearance.
Cards: Temperance · Queen of Swords · Strength · The World · Nine of Pentacles
His appearance brings attention back to the difference between the person you were in the relationship with him and the one you are today. You can now look at the story with more clarity, accept the good, name the painful and see what you took with you. You may have loved truly and had good reason to leave. The person may still be missing from your life while your life is already going in a direction you like. You may be grateful for what you lived through and know that its place is in the past.
If he is still present in your life, the dream may coincide with a moment when you are ready for a conversation you have long postponed. You may want clarity, more closeness, a change in the relationship, or an answer to a question there is no longer any point in leaving in the air. With a person from the past, his appearance may help you see how differently you would react today to the same story and how much of what you decide now belongs to your present life.
With a relative who has died, you may discover how much of them carries on through you. The way you take care of your family, a certain strength, a habit, a sense of humour, an attitude to work, or that inner voice which at some moments sounds suspiciously like theirs. The image returns and reminds you what you received from that bond.
With an unknown face it may become clear what kind of person you are already ready to let close to you and how you want to feel in your next relationship. So a stranger from a dream can say a great deal about your very real wishes.
Ask yourself: “What do I know about myself today thanks to this person?” The answer is already looking at your life now.
What we develop: Where the same theme will appear in the dreamer's real relationships and behaviour.
Cards: Page of Cups · Three of Cups · Two of Pentacles · Eight of Pentacles · King of Cups
Over the next few days the same thread may appear in an entirely real situation. There may be a message, an invitation, a meeting, a conversation, a mutual acquaintance, a new introduction or a small gesture that suddenly awakens the familiar feeling. With someone you still have a relationship with, there may be a coming closer and more personal contact. With a person from the past, someone may mention him, you may come across a photograph of him, meet him by chance or learn something about him.
The same trace may come through an entirely different person. A new love awakens a tenderness you thought you had forgotten. An emotionally distant person takes you back to the old waiting. Someone shows interest and suddenly you realise how hard it is for you to believe that this time there is no need to fight for attention. You may also feel torn between the past and the present, especially if the old story still serves as the measure for every new relationship.
Your own behaviour will be just as important. If you used to pursue distant people, you will be able to recognise the moment when the old pattern begins. If you stayed silent when you needed to speak, you will get the chance to be clearer. If you took a small gesture for a great promise, you will be able to wait for the actions. If you were afraid to let closeness in, a person may appear around whom you gradually discover another way of connecting.
Over the next seven days, watch which person or situation awakens the same feeling you had after the dream. That can be the most direct bridge between the night scene and what is already happening in your life.
What we develop: Where the theme can go once it is recognised — coming closer, a conversation, distance, an ending or a new way of connecting.
Cards: Knight of Cups · Four of Wands · Death · Six of Swords · Ten of Cups
Once the connection between the dream and the present is recognised, the continuation begins to take shape. If there is still mutuality between you, an unspoken feeling and a real bond, a message, an invitation, a meeting or a conversation that changes the relationship are all possible. With a present partner there may follow more closeness, a decision about a shared future, a home or a new stage between you. With a person from the past, real contact is also possible, especially if over the next few days the trace leads back to him again.
A meeting with someone from the past, however, will be a meeting between the people you are today. You may discover that something alive is still between you and worth developing, or you may finally have the conversation after which the old story loses its power. A second chance makes sense only if the relationship can be different from the first attempt; otherwise we get a repetition, and life has enough seasons without watching one and the same episode forever.
If the dream is connected more with a memory, an idealisation or an old pain, the continuation may be a move away from the image's influence. Once you understand why the person stayed so important, the dreams themselves may begin to change. He may be further away, he may leave, he may say words he never said, or one night the plot may simply carry on without him.
With a relative who has died, the next meeting in a dream may have a different tone. It may be connected with home, family, an ordinary conversation, or a sense of closeness that after waking leaves more warmth. The memory gradually begins to connect with what that person gave to your life.
With an unknown face the direction may lead towards a new relationship. You may meet someone around whom you recognise a similar feeling, even though they have nothing in common with the face from the dream. Then the night image has given shape to your readiness for closeness, before real life brought the person.
The last question is: “What will change in my life once I understand why I dreamed of exactly this person?” The answer may be a meeting, a conversation, a coming closer, an ending, a new love, or an entirely different way of carrying the old story with you.
After waking, take a sheet of paper and write the person's name, or, if they are unknown, write “The person from the dream”. Finish three sentences: “When I am with you, I am…”, “With you I connect…” and “In my life now the same feeling appears when…”. Then describe one scene from the dream and recall what the person was doing, where they were in relation to you, whether they came closer, moved away, spoke, and what you wanted to do. Finally finish: “If your image reminds me of something about my life now, I am ready to see…”. Keep the first answer. After fifteen revisions you will be talking more with your inner editor than with the dream.
Over the next seven days write down the moments when the person comes to mind again, or when someone, a place, a conversation or a situation strongly reminds you of them. Beside each trace add what happened just before it. At the end of the seventh day look for the repetition. The image may appear around loneliness, new closeness, a family decision, fear of separation, a wish for change, or precisely when someone begins to take a more important place in your life.
A face in a dream may belong to the past, live in the present, or still have no name outside the night-time story. The meaning lies in what comes along with it — love, absence, belonging, a choice, a memory, an old wound, a new wish, or a part of you that wants to be seen again. Out of all the faces memory could have called up during the night, it chose exactly this one. What remains is to understand what from your own life came along with it.
If after this reading you have understood that the image belongs to a person from whom you still carry a feeling, a conversation, an expectation or an old bond, you can follow the thread into Letting Go in the Game of the Soul and see what still connects you with this story and what you are already ready to leave behind you. If the dream leads to a relative who has died, a parent, a family house, or a story that repeats across generations, the deeper continuation is The Lineage. One face in a dream can open a far older family thread than you expected.
Main question: “Why do I keep returning to this place in my dreams, and where is it leading me?”
Again you turn into the same street. You know which door you have to open, you remember the staircase, the yard, the window or the path down to the sea, although in waking life that place was left behind long ago. Or it may not exist on any map at all, and still you know it astonishingly well. You have already been in this house, waited at this station, walked through this city, looked for the room at the end of the corridor. On the next return another floor appears, the street carries on further, or the locked door finally opens. Evidently night-time architecture is fond of renovations without notice too.
A house can gather the family rules you grew up with, a school can bring back the time of exams and proving yourself, an office can carry your work and your place among others, a hotel can mark a temporary period, a station can appear around a move that is coming, the sea can open up space, and an unfamiliar city can begin to grow precisely when your present life no longer holds everything you want from it. Space has borders, entrances, exits, closed rooms and distant horizons. Through them you can tell whether you are keeping an address you have not fully left yet, or whether you have already set off towards a place that is about to become part of your life.
What we develop: Which area of life is represented through the place — home, work, security, freedom or growth.
Cards: Four of Pentacles · Ten of Pentacles · Eight of Pentacles · Three of Wands · The World
The place is connected with what you have built and with what defines the borders of your present life. Home, family, property, work, professional surroundings, income, habits and long-term plans can all gather in one house, street, building or city. At the beginning there is a strong attachment to the familiar, after it come what the years have accumulated and the daily effort, and beyond them the horizon is already in sight. That is why the place may return in a period when you want at once to keep what you have achieved and to give your life more space.
An old family house may appear around a property matter, an inheritance, a change in the family, or a decision about where and with whom you want to live. If you are guarding the house, locking doors, checking windows or finding it hard to leave, security has become especially important. It is possible that you spent a long time building stability and that now every change looks like a risk to something earned with great effort.
A workplace, a school, a university, a studio or another space in which one learns and works points towards growth. Your experience may already be enough for the next professional level, while the surroundings have stayed the same. If you are looking for an office, cannot arrive on time, keep doing one and the same task, or discover new rooms, you are probably close in reality too to the moment when the old role begins to feel tight.
With an unfamiliar city, a distant shore, a harbour or a vast horizon, the direction opens towards travel, moving, another country, studying or a new way of living. If you see the distance and want to reach it, the wish to expand already has an image of its own.
Look at the place as a map and ask yourself: “Which part of my life has the same borders?”
What we develop: What draws me to this space and what I am looking for through it.
Cards: The Star · Nine of Cups · Ace of Pentacles · Three of Wands · The Empress
Something in this space resembles the life you are already looking towards. It may be space, beauty, ownership, a new beginning, more nature, better work, a different city, or surroundings in which what you create has the conditions to grow. If you want to stay, to look around further, to buy the house, to open the windows, to plant the garden or to reach the end of the street, the wish already has rather down-to-earth outlines.
A beautiful house may be connected with a home of your own, financial security, or a space you manage by your own rules. A garden, land, or a place full of life may coincide with a period in which you want to create something lasting and your own. The sea, the open road and the distant city widen the perspective towards travel, another country, or freedom from the limits of your present daily life.
The places you have never visited yet know better with every return are especially interesting. First you see the city, then you discover the house, the next time you already know the street, and one day it turns out that you have a key as well. The image gradually gains details, the way an idea begins to become a plan.
With a real place from the past, the reason may be the quality of life you had there. The old seaside town keeps the freedom, the student flat the independence, the village house the space, and a hotel from one journey may remind you how differently you feel when you step out of your usual rhythm for a while.
Ask yourself: “What does this place offer me that I want to be present more in my life?”
What we develop: What I already sense about my place in life — belonging, dissatisfaction, a wish for change, or the need for a space of my own.
Cards: Four of Wands · Eight of Cups · Two of Wands · Nine of Pentacles · Queen of Pentacles
You already have a fairly clear idea of how you want to live. You may be looking for a home of your own, more independence, better surroundings, financial steadiness, or a daily life in which you have more time and space for yourself. Your present place may give you security and at the same time be something you have outgrown. After years of movement the opposite may be happening — you begin to want roots, a permanent address, and the sense that you are putting your strength into something that is genuinely yours.
If you are leaving a house, a hotel, a school or a city, you probably already know which period is coming to its end. If you are looking from a window, a balcony, a hill or a border towards another place, the choice is still taking shape, but the thought of change is already present. If you own the home, the garden or the land and take care of them, the wish for independence and a material foundation is mature enough to ask for a real form.
You may have been putting off the change because of money, work, family obligations, or the purely practical question of how a person moves an entire life when a single kitchen cupboard contains objects whose purpose nobody remembers. Despite all the sensible arguments, however, the inner decision may already have been made.
Ask yourself two questions: “Which place have I already outgrown?” and “What space am I ready to take up now?” The difference between the two answers is the direction that is gradually taking shape.
What we develop: What in the place itself I am missing — a closed possibility, an old rule, a limitation, a resource or a new perspective.
Cards: Four of Swords · Eight of Swords · Five of Pentacles · The Hanged Man · Seven of Pentacles
Somewhere in the space there is an area you do not reach yet. A locked room, a closed door, an unfinished floor, an empty yard, a dark corridor or a road with no visible way out can gather limitations you take for granted. Some of them are entirely real — a budget, time, family commitments, a contract, work, or a period in which change requires preparation. Others are rules left over from a time when the circumstances were different.
You may have been repeating for years that you cannot afford a home of your own, cannot leave, cannot change jobs, cannot live alone or start something of your own. In the meantime your income, your possibilities and your experience have changed, while the old conclusion has stayed untouched. That is exactly why it matters how the place itself changes. A door that was locked before now opens. A staircase appears. You discover a room you did not know about. The road that always ended carries on further.
If you get lost, cannot find a way out, or keep coming back to one and the same point, a certain decision in life may have been put off for too long. If the place is abandoned, cold or empty, you may be putting resources into surroundings that no longer give you enough back. If you are renovating, building, waiting for something to grow, or seeing an unfinished building, the change has already begun but still asks for time and persistence.
The most interesting clue is the question: “Which door do I consider locked without having checked recently whether it still is?”
What we develop: What is important for me to understand about the place I hold in my life now.
Cards: The Chariot · The Fool · King of Pentacles · Ace of Wands · Justice
The direction is already asking for movement. If you are packing luggage, looking for a key, waiting for a train, getting into a car, crossing a bridge or a border, entering an unfamiliar building or finally finding the exit, the inner decision may have run ahead of the real actions. Part of you has already set off, while daily life is still checking the calendar and trying to work out when exactly that happened.
The image of the luggage is especially strong. If you are gathering things, choosing what to take, or leaving something behind, a period is coming in which you will have to decide what has a place in the next stage. If you are carrying far too much and moving with difficulty, part of what you have accumulated is already getting in the way of the direction. If the luggage is light or you set off almost without preparation, the wish for a new beginning is strong, but reality will ask for a foundation.
The key, the document, the contract, the land, the room or the workplace give the change a material form. The idea of moving may become a viewing, the wish for new work an application, the dream of a space of your own a real possibility. If you are considering a property, a job or a move, the conditions will matter, and you will probably have to choose with equal attention to the wish and to the practical side.
The Chariot and the new beginning bring movement, while the earthly foundation and Justice want the choice to hold true after the first enthusiasm as well. So the dream may come before a period in which the change acquires a date, a price, an address or a signature.
The question is now entirely concrete: “Which direction have I chosen inwardly, before I have even set off towards it?”
What we develop: What to watch for — invitations, properties, work, journeys, the wish to change the home or the everyday surroundings.
Cards: Page of Pentacles · Eight of Wands · Three of Pentacles · Six of Swords · Two of Pentacles
The theme may soon receive a practical continuation. A job advertisement, an offer of a project, a property that becomes free, a conversation about moving, a course in another city, a journey or an invitation to collaborate can give a real form to an idea that has so far lived mostly in the imagination.
Things may develop faster than expected. You send one enquiry and get a meeting, you look at one option and discover a second, you talk with someone and out of the conversation comes a possibility you had not planned at all. A change at work may lead to more travel or to a change of surroundings, and an offer from another city may turn the distant idea into a real choice.
There will be a reckoning as well. The budget, the time, the work, the family and the distance will want their place in the decision. With two offers or two places you may spend some time balancing between them. One gives security, the other more perspective; one is convenient, the other attracts you more. It is precisely the practical details that will help you tell the impulse apart from the possibility that can actually be built.
The most important are the offers that change where you spend your life. A new office, another neighbourhood, a second city, more frequent journeys, or work that can be done from different places can gradually change far more than the address.
What we develop: How the theme of the place may develop — settling, movement, new surroundings, expansion, or a return to something valuable.
Cards: Four of Wands · The Wheel of Fortune · Six of Swords · Ace of Pentacles · Nine of Cups
The change has the potential to become entirely real. A new home, a move, living together, a purchase, a rental, a new working space, or surroundings that gradually turn into an important part of life are among the strongest developments. Circumstances may speed up a decision you have long postponed, and a possibility that appeared almost by chance may open the way to a place that turns out to suit your next period far better.
With an unfamiliar city, the sea, a station, a harbour or a road, the movement may begin as a short journey first. Then a reason appears to go back — work, a project, a course, a new possibility, or simply the growing sense that you could live differently there. One temporary departure may open a longer story, and an idea that until recently looked distant may get a real chance.
The old home or the city of the past brings another line. You may return because of family, property, an inheritance, a sale, a renovation, or a decision connected with something left there. The practical reason may open a far bigger question: is there still a place for you in that life, or do you already belong elsewhere? You may discover value you had not noticed before, use an old resource in a new way, or decide once and for all what will stay behind you.
If the house becomes lighter, if you discover new rooms, renovate, or finally settle in, the direction is towards establishing yourself. You may change your home, create a space of your own, begin a shared life, or invest in a place with a future. With a professional space the same line may bring a new contract, a project, an office of your own, a studio, a workplace or a steadier financial possibility.
Or the address may not change at all. What changes is the territory you allow yourself to occupy — more freedom, better conditions, ownership, movement, growth, or a space created by your own rules. Then the place from the dream gradually stops being a distant scene and begins to resemble the life you are already building.
The last door leads to the question: “Where do I want to settle, when I choose according to the life I want to have?”
Straight after waking, draw the place from memory. A few lines are enough — the artistic talent may carry on sleeping. Mark the entrance, the exit, the rooms, the streets, the stairs, the windows, the water, the yard or the road. Put a sign on the place that draws you most strongly, another where you want to get to, and a third in front of the space you have no access to.
Then divide the sheet into two parts. In one write “I have it in my life”, and in the other “I want to create it”. Space, a home of your own, work, nature, movement, solitude, people, beauty, security or freedom may find a place in one of the two. The map gradually begins to look less like strange night-time geography and more like a drawing of what you actually need.
Choose only one thing from “I want to create it” and make one real-life check connected with it. Look at the neighbourhood, check a price, see what work is available, look for a course, open a map of the city, look at the transport, work out a budget, or find out what the first step requires. That way you will see whether the place belongs only to the night world, or whether a road towards it already exists in your life.
A house, a city, a school, a hotel, the sea or an unfamiliar street can keep an old period, mark out your present borders, or give shape to a direction that is only now becoming possible. The most interesting moment comes when the place begins to change — a door appears, a new floor, another road, more light, or an exit that was not there before. As though the map is being finished along with your life. And if you find yourself at the same address again, look carefully at what is different. Perhaps that is exactly where the next direction lies.
If the place from the dream is already beginning to resemble a direction you are considering in waking life — a new home, work, city, journey, a space of your own, or a life with more freedom — carry on into The Crossroads in the Game of the Soul. There you can look at the choice itself: what each direction brings, what stops you, and what you are already ready to set off towards. The dream may have drawn the map; what remains is to see which of the paths already exists in your real life as well.
Main question: “What is trying to reach me through the fear in this dream?”
You are running, but your legs seem to have turned to lead. You press the brake and the car carries on. The train leaves in front of your eyes while you are still looking for the platform. You walk into an exam and discover, with some surprise, that you were probably supposed to study for it as well. You try to shout and your voice declines to take part. You fall, you get lost, someone is walking behind you, the door will not open, the stairs end, and the clock moves on with suspicious enthusiasm. Then you open your eyes and it takes a few seconds to understand that you are in bed and do not have to run anywhere.
Fear is a talented scriptwriter. Out of piled-up tasks it makes an endless delay, out of uncertainty an abyss, out of an unresolved conflict someone's footsteps behind you, out of the fear of making a mistake an exam with no preparation. The crash, the fall or the chase speak through the force of the image; the real trace lies in what is already pressing on you during the day. The stronger the dream, the more interesting the question becomes: what am I trying to master in waking life, if at night it is given a plot like this?
What we develop: What the real source of the tension is — pressure, loss of control, conflict, uncertainty or being overloaded.
Cards: Nine of Swords · Ten of Wands · Five of Swords · Two of Swords · The Tower
Behind this dream there is an accumulation that did not begin yesterday. A thought that has been going round for a long time without a solution, too many responsibilities, a conflict that carries on after the last conversation, a choice between two uncomfortable possibilities, or a change that has shaken something you considered secure. You may have come through a period in which every single task looked bearable, but gathered together they now weigh more than you are ready to admit.
With the endless lateness, the reason is often the sense that there is never enough time. Work enters the personal, other people's tasks settle in between yours, deadlines overlap, and the day stubbornly continues to have only twenty-four hours. If you are running to a station, an airport, a meeting or an exam and never arrive, in waking life too you may be living with the feeling that you are constantly catching up.
Sudden falling carries an entirely different story. There something that looked solid no longer gives the same support. Work, a relationship, a financial plan, a family situation or a decision about the future may have become uncertain. The more you try to keep the old order, the stronger the fear grows of what will happen if it changes after all.
With conflict the dream may become sharper — a quarrel, a battle, an attack, the impossibility of defending yourself. The reason is not always the person in the plot. Far more important is whether during the day you are in a situation in which you constantly have to hold your ground, prove that you are right, or expect the next clash.
Go back over the last few weeks and ask yourself: “What started weighing on me long before I began dreaming about it?”
What we develop: Why the anxiety chooses precisely this plot. What experience is given shape through it.
Cards: The Moon · Seven of Wands · Eight of Swords · Five of Pentacles · Knight of Swords
The plot chooses the image that most precisely resembles the way you are living through the situation. When you do not know what is coming, the space turns dark, the road is lost, unfamiliar figures appear along with the sense that something is approaching although you cannot see it yet. When you defend yourself for too long, the dream creates an attack. When the way out is unclear, narrow corridors arrive, locked rooms, and movement without progress. When you are afraid of being left without support, you may find yourself alone in an unfamiliar place. And when events are coming too fast, the night plot puts its foot down as well.
Especially important is being unable to do the one thing that would save you. The telephone does not work. The key does not fit. Your legs will not move. Nobody hears. You cannot find the address. This is far more interesting than the danger itself, because it points to the place where during the day you also feel hemmed in.
If you cannot speak, you may be putting off a conversation, an objection, an admission or a request for help. If you cannot find the way, there is probably a decision without a clear direction. If you are constantly defending yourself, you may have been for a long time in surroundings where you expect criticism, pressure or argument. If you are left alone exactly when you need help, the theme may be the fear of whether there will be anyone to rely on.
Remember the most helpless moment of the dream and turn it into a question: “What am I trying to do there, and where in my life do I feel the same difficulty?”
What we develop: What I already sense during the day, although I carry on functioning as if everything were fine.
Cards: Nine of Wands · Four of Pentacles · Queen of Swords · Ten of Swords · Two of Pentacles
For some time now you have been enduring and carrying on. You guard what you have achieved, you think clearly, you gather strength for one more task and balance between obligations that are hard to set down. From outside everything may look entirely under control. Inwardly, however, you already know what is tiring you, which conversation is exhausted, which responsibility has become too heavy, and what continues only because you have not yet decided how to end it.
You may be telling yourself that there is just a little left — until the end of the project, until the exam, until the payment, until the decision, until the end of the month. Then the next “just a little” arrives and the calendar begins to show suspicious inventiveness.
The Queen of Swords and the end of a hard line bring another kind of knowing as well: you can already name what is not working. You may not have made the change, but the reason is clear. You know which person exhausts you, which work is too much, which commitment you took on out of duty, and which decision you keep postponing because every possibility has a price.
If during the day you constantly shift tasks, move deadlines, keep everything under your own hand and tell yourself that you will rest when it is finished, the dream may simply have reached the conclusion for which you have not yet found the time.
Finish two sentences without editing: “I am tired of …” and “I carry on because …”. The distance between them says a great deal.
What we develop: What intensifies the tension — too much control, other people's expectations, exhaustion, conflict or fear of making a mistake.
Cards: The Emperor · The Devil · Five of Wands · Seven of Swords · Ten of Pentacles
Part of the tension comes from the situation itself, and another part from the rules you have set around it. You may believe that you have to master everything, manage on your own, be strong, make no mistake, and at the same time keep the work, the income, the family security and the expectations of the people around you. For a long time such a regime looks like responsibility. At some point, though, it begins to resemble a job with no day off and no particularly kind employer.
There may be surroundings in which you are constantly competing, defending or proving. A boss, a family, a partner or your own standards can set the bar so high that every mistake starts to look dangerous. Then the exam in the dream already has an entirely logical biography.
The tension is heightened as well by what you avoid checking. A letter, a result, a conversation, a bill, a decision or an answer may stay unopened, because for a short while not knowing seems easier. Only the empty space fills up quickly with versions, and imagination rarely chooses the dullest one.
With family and material security an old rule may be at work: I have to master everything, I have to take care of things, I have to keep what has been achieved. Then to the fear of what you will lose is added the question of who you will be if you stop carrying that role.
Ask yourself: “Which rule have I been following so long that I no longer check whether I still need it?”
What we develop: What is important for me to understand in order to change my relationship to the theme.
Cards: Strength · Temperance · Four of Swords · Queen of Cups · Justice
The way out begins with measure. Strength in these cards means the ability to decide what deserves your energy and what is already taking too much of it. After a long period of pressure the first change can be very simple: one task fewer, one clear conversation, one boundary, one decision that puts an end to the endless turning over.
If information is missing, look for it. If the conflict drags on, decide which part of it actually depends on you. If you have taken on more than you can reasonably carry, make room. If you have been waiting for permission to give yourself time, the permit is unlikely to arrive by post.
The way you treat yourself after a hard dream matters too. Instead of looking for what evil every detail foretells, bring the image back to the experience. If you cannot stop something, what in your life is moving too fast? If you are shut in, where is the choice missing? If you are unprepared, in front of whom are you afraid of turning out not to be good enough? That way the fear begins to become understandable, and what is understandable can already be changed.
Justice at the end asks for an honest balance: what is genuinely your responsibility, and what have you added to it out of habit, guilt or the wish to master every loose end? The answer can change far more than one night.
Ask yourself: “What can I change during the day so that the fear does not have to shout on my behalf at night?”
What we develop: When the same tension switches on in reality — a deadline, a conflict, being overloaded, avoidance, or the attempt to control everything.
Cards: Eight of Wands · Seven of Wands · Two of Swords · Ten of Wands · Page of Swords
The tension has its own switching-on point. The telephone starts ringing, several messages arrive at once, a new deadline appears, a particular person asks a question and you immediately feel the need to defend yourself, and the evening ends while your thoughts carry on checking what you have forgotten.
The day before a strong dream is especially important. Go back over it like a detective who fortunately needs no trench coat. What happened a few hours before you fell asleep? What news did you get? Which conversation was left unfinished? What did you decide to leave for tomorrow? Where did you say “I will manage”, although you already had enough?
You may discover a recurring connection. The nightmare comes after certain meetings, before important deadlines, while you are waiting for a decision, after a conflict, or in periods when you are trying to carry too much at once. Then the dream already has a rhythm of its own and you can recognise its beginning during the day.
Notice your first reaction to pressure as well. Do you immediately start checking everything? Do you take on more tasks to be sure they will be done properly? Do you postpone the decision until you have gathered more information? Do you go into defence before there is any real conflict? It is precisely that first reaction that is the daytime trace which at night is given a far bigger set.
What we develop: How the theme can change once I recognise the source — recovery, action, release, new clarity or regained control.
Cards: The Star · Six of Swords · Ace of Swords · The Chariot · The Sun
The first change may appear in the plot itself. The corridor now has an end. A lamp comes on. You find the right road. The car responds. Someone comes to help. You manage to say one word. You see the face of what was only a shadow before. You wake a little later than the usual frightening moment, because this time the story managed to carry on for one more scene.
After that the change may become visible during the day as well. You get an answer that ends the not knowing. You make a decision you have long postponed. You have a conversation and no longer need to rehearse it mentally in ten different versions. You leave an exhausting situation, change the way you work, or simply stop carrying a responsibility that was never entirely yours.
The Ace of Swords and the Chariot give a very clear line: from fear without direction to decision and movement. That may be a specific choice, the end of a conflict, a change of job, giving up a commitment, a boundary that is set, or an action that brings back the sense that you are taking part in your own life again, instead of only reacting to what happens.
The Sun at the end changes the atmosphere itself. What was dark and unknown becomes visible. There may still be a task to solve, but you already know what it is. And when fear is given a name, it loses part of its need to arrive at night with an entire film set.
If the dream repeats, do not rush to look only at whether the frightening part has come back. See what is already different. This time you may have a choice, find a way out, get further, or stay in the dream a few seconds longer. That is the next scene.
Choose the most tense moment of the dream and stop it like a frame from a film. The moment before the impact, the hand on the handle, the dark corridor, the clock showing that there is no time left, the shadow behind you, or the second in which you understand that you cannot move. Describe it with five things: where I am, what is happening, what I am trying to do, what is getting in my way, and what I am afraid will follow.
Then take the situation that is bringing you the most tension at the moment and answer the same five questions about it. Do not look for identical images. Look for the identical construction. In the dream you may be locked in a room, while in life you are waiting for a decision your work depends on. In the dream there may be no brakes, while during the day you have the sense that events are moving too fast. It is precisely that resemblance which is the valuable part.
Then go back to the frozen frame and change only one action. Find another door. Turn on the light. Put down the luggage. Pick up the telephone. Stop running. Turn around and see what is behind you. There is no need to invent a wonderful ending with a sunrise, music and credits. It is enough to give yourself one more move.
If next time in the same dream a door appears, a voice, a brake, a light, or one more second to choose, remember it. Perhaps fear is no longer telling the same story.
If the reading has led to accumulation, being overloaded, or tension you feel first and can name only afterwards, the continuation is The Body in the Game of the Soul. There you can follow how the experience shows itself in your own reactions and where it is already time to hear the signal earlier. If the nightmare has brought out a specific choice you are postponing, one that keeps the story under tension, carry on through The Crossroads. Perhaps the next scene changes precisely when, during the day, you finally make the decision you keep running around at night.
Main question: “Why does this dream keep coming back, and what can change once I understand its message?”
The first time you wake up and an hour later you are already busy with something else. The second time you recognise the place. By the third you know where the corridor leads, who will appear behind the door, or at which moment the plot will make that turn you remember far too well. Then months pass, even years. You change jobs, home, people, plans, perhaps half your views on life as well, and one night you are on the same street again. Evidently this night-time series has been given a contract for more seasons than anyone ordered.
With a recurring dream, the time between two appearances is almost as important as the plot itself. One and the same image may appear around a new beginning, a parting, a family change, an important choice, a certain date, or a period in which you are living through a familiar feeling again. And the more years pass, the more interesting another question becomes: is it really the same dream? The door may already be ajar, the person further away, the room lighter, the road may carry on, or this time you may have managed to get a few steps further. A recurring dream has a history of its own, and each of its versions carries a trace of the person you were when you dreamed it.
What we develop: Which core stays unchanged every time the dream returns.
Cards: Six of Cups · The Wheel of Fortune · Judgement · Ten of Swords · The Moon
The root leads back. To a period, a person, a family story, a parting, a loss, a move or an abrupt ending, after which you carried on with your life while part of what you lived through was left without a final name. That is why the most important date at the beginning is the first appearance of the dream. What was happening then? What was ending? What was beginning? What did you not yet know about what was coming?
The Six of Cups brings back the past and the way we remember it today. The Wheel repeats similar turns in life, Judgement calls up an old theme for a new reading, the Ten of Swords keeps an ending that left a trace, and the Moon preserves what long stayed without a clear shape. So the dream may have begun around a specific event, but over the years it returns whenever life reaches a similar inner moment again.
After a sudden move, for example, a dream may stay in which you are looking for your home. After a hard ending — a journey you never manage to finish. After a period of uncertainty — a dark street, a forest, water, or a house in which you keep looking for the right room. The image does not necessarily copy your biography; it keeps the feeling of it.
That is exactly why the same dream may come back ten years later at an event which at first glance has nothing to do with the first one. A new relationship touches a feeling from the old one, a professional change brings back the uncertainty of a previous ending, a decision about a home awakens a family story. Life is different, while the inner theme recognises a familiar turn.
Go back to the earliest memory of the dream and finish: “When I began dreaming this, I was in a period in which …” That is where the thread starts.
What we develop: Why the dream activates in this particular period. What today touches the old theme.
Cards: Ace of Wands · Page of Cups · Two of Pentacles · Three of Swords · The Emperor
Your present life has reached a situation that carries a familiar feeling, although the circumstances are different. A new beginning, an emotional opening, a choice between two directions, a disappointment, or taking on serious responsibility touch the old layer, and the dream joins the story again.
With a new relationship, a dream may come back from a time when you trusted someone and were then hurt. With a professional opportunity, a plot may appear from a period in which you risked a great deal. With a choice between two directions, the old worry may wake up about whether you will choose wrongly again. And when you begin to carry more responsibility, a dream may return from years in which you also felt that everything depended on you.
That is precisely what distinguishes the present occasion from the original story. The present person is not the old person, the new work is not the previous work, today's choice is not that choice. What they share is the experience that wakes up around them. If you once connected closeness with loss, new closeness may open the old fear as well. If a big change once ended painfully, the next possibility may bring both enthusiasm and the wish to hold the reins considerably shorter.
The Messenger comes exactly at the moment when the present asks an old question with new participants. And this time the answer can be different.
Ask yourself: “What am I living through now that is familiar from the time when this dream began?”
What we develop: What I have already understood from the repetition, even if I have not put it into clear words yet.
Cards: The Hermit · The High Priestess · Eight of Cups · Queen of Swords · The World
Between the first dream and the present one there are years of life, and they have changed the way you look at the story. You already recognise the atmosphere, you know when the dream usually comes, and you probably sense what will follow before the plot gets there. In reality you have covered a great distance too. You have moved away from people, situations and versions of yourself that once seemed enormous and that today you can see with far more clarity.
It is especially interesting if in the dream you already remember its previous versions. You see the stairs and know what is upstairs. You know the house. You know that behind a certain door a person will appear. You remember that last time you turned back from the same place. Then the dream already has a memory of its own and becomes a world you enter with the experience gathered from previous visits.
The Hermit and the High Priestess speak of knowledge that has ripened for a long time, the Eight of Cups has already left part of the old behind, the Queen of Swords can name the truth, and the World knows what has been completed. So there is a strong chance that you understood the essential part before you found the right words for it.
You may already know why a certain person did not stay, why you made that choice, what you lost and what you actually gained after it. The dream carries on keeping the earlier version of the story, while you are already living far beyond it.
Write two sentences: “When I dreamed this at the beginning, I was …” and “When I dream it today, I am …”. Between them lie the years the dream has not yet told to the end.
What we develop: What feeds the cycle — an old belief, an unfinished reaction, an attachment, guilt, or a way of behaving.
Cards: The Devil · Five of Cups · Eight of Swords · Four of Pentacles · Seven of Cups
The cycle keeps going when what you lived through ended long ago while the decision you made because of it carries on taking part in the present. After being left, you may start to move away first as soon as closeness becomes serious. After deception, you may look for proof before there is any reason. After a financial loss, you may guard security so tightly that a good opportunity also looks dangerous. After a wrong choice, you may examine every following decision from every possible side, until the choice itself grows tired of waiting.
The Devil and the Four of Pentacles cling to the familiar, the Five of Cups keeps what you still regret, the Eight of Swords turns old experience into a limitation, and the Seven of Cups adds every version of what might have been. So the past begins to influence the future before the future has had a chance to unfold.
There is another thread as well — idealisation. Over the years the person may become more wonderful, the missed opportunity more fateful, the old home warmer, and the decision you did not make may start to look like the entrance to a life with not a single problem. Memory has a splendid imagination and rarely keeps the receipts from reality.
So look at the action you perform every time in the dream. If you always wait, you may be waiting today too for someone else to take the first step. If you always turn back, you may be giving up right before the change. If you never open one and the same door, there is probably a question you prefer to leave unanswered. If you are looking for a person who never comes, you may still be expecting from someone what they have long been unable to give you.
Then the dream keeps more than a memory. It keeps the old way in which you decided to survive after it.
Ask yourself: “Which decision, made by me back then, am I still repeating today?”
What we develop: What is important to understand now, so that the repetition gains a new meaning.
Cards: Judgement · Temperance · Death · Ace of Swords · Strength
Now you can come back to the old scene from the age, the experience and the life you have today. That is the great change in this reading. The person who made the first decision had the knowledge, the possibilities and the fears of that time. Your choice today does not have to be a continuation of a decision made ten or twenty years ago.
Judgement brings the story back so that it can be seen whole. Temperance gathers what you have learned since. Death separates what is finished from what is alive, the Ace of Swords gives a new understanding, and Strength allows you to react in a way that was once out of reach. That is the turning point: the same theme meets a different person, because you are already different.
A parting in the past may have created the conviction that closeness always ends in loss. Today you have experience with which you can tell the old fear apart from the behaviour of the person in front of you. A financial collapse may have taught your younger version to guard every security at any price; your present version can already weigh risk, resource and possibility. A family story may have left a rule about what you “must” do, while your present life already has the right to write another one.
The past stays part of your biography, but the rules created in it can have an expiry date. Some of them helped you through a difficult period and did an excellent job. It is just that nobody told them the contract has run out.
When that becomes clear, the repetition gains a new meaning. You are no longer the person waiting for the old ending to happen again. You are the person who recognises where the expectation comes from and can choose what to do with it today.
Ask yourself: “What would I choose now, if I were not obliged to defend the person I was back then?”
What we develop: Which specific person, situation, date, place, word or event unlocks the familiar dream in everyday life.
Cards: Page of Swords · Six of Cups · Eight of Pentacles · Three of Cups · King of Pentacles
The dream has a daytime key, and it can be astonishingly specific. A name on the screen, an old photograph, a conversation, meeting a mutual acquaintance, a street, a song, a situation at work, a family gathering or a date can open an archive you had hardly thought about during the day. The Page of Swords brings the information, the Six of Cups connects with the past, the Eight of Pentacles looks for the repetition in everyday life, the Three of Cups carries it through people, and the King of Pentacles ties it to work, security and settled roles in life.
The dates are especially interesting. The dream may appear around one and the same season, a birthday, a holiday, an anniversary, the month of a parting, a move or a loss. After years a person no longer counts the time from the event consciously, while the dream evidently keeps a calendar of its own and is quite a diligent employee.
On the work line, the key may be a new manager, a similar task, an assessment, a financial decision, or a period of too much responsibility. In relationships — a new person with a gesture, a word or a way of behaving that recalls an old experience. In family history — a gathering, a conversation, a piece of news or a change at home. A very small detail can be enough, because it only unlocks a door to a far bigger story.
After the next repetition, go back over the day two or three days and write down what specifically happened. Do not look for a big event at any price. One word can do the job just as well.
That way you will gradually discover the difference between the cause and the key: the cause is the old theme, the key is what touched it this time.
What we develop: How the cycle itself can change — the dream may change its ending, the image may weaken, a new choice may appear, or the theme may be lived through differently.
Cards: The World · The Fool · The Star · Six of Wands · Death
The next change may be almost imperceptible. You reach the end of the corridor. The door opens. The person who was always there is missing this time. The road carries on beyond the place where it used to end. A new room appears, another way out, light, or a person you have never met before in this dream. The familiar plot does something it has not done for years.
The World and Death can close a very old cycle, and between them the Fool opens a space that has no story yet. That is especially beautiful with a recurring dream, because for the first time you may get beyond the familiar ending. If you always waited, you set off. If you kept turning back, you carry on forward. If you were looking for someone, you find another place. If you always went in through one door, this time you choose the one beside it. The night world finally gets a future.
The Star and the Six of Wands change the way you are present in it as well. More confidence, more light, more space, the sense that you know the place and already have a choice. You may even say to yourself in the dream: “I have been here.” Only this time you know something more — what you want to do.
The change may carry on in reality too. In a similar situation you react differently. You let closeness in without waiting in advance for the ending. You accept a possibility you would earlier have refused out of fear. You set a boundary where before you stayed silent. You make a decision without asking for a guarantee for the whole of the rest of your life. The old plot gradually loses its reason to be the only possible one.
And then months may pass and one morning you realise that you have not been back to that place for a long time. There is no final episode, no music and credits, not even a decent goodbye. The story simply has nothing left to repeat.
Gather all the versions of the dream you remember and arrange them in time. Start with the earliest. Beside each one note the approximate year or period of life, what was happening then, what in the dream stayed the same and what changed. Missing years are no problem — this is an archive of dreams, after all, not a tax inspection of the subconscious.
Then draw a line through the years and mark the appearances of the dream on it. Under each one write one important event from the same period: a relationship, a parting, work, a move, a family change, a loss, a new beginning, a decision. If one and the same theme starts appearing around several of the repetitions, you already have a trace.
After that compare the first and the last version. Who were you then and who are you now? What do you do differently? Who is no longer there? What has appeared? Where do you get further? What do you know in the last dream that you did not yet know in the first?
Finally finish one sentence: “This dream started coming back when I … and it comes again when …” Do not look for a beautiful answer. Look for the recurring thread.
If the dream comes back again, write down the new thing first. The other door. The different word. The missing person. The new object. The changed ending. Your own reaction. That may be where the story begins that until now has had no place in the dream.
The first version keeps the person you were when it all began. The last one meets the person you are today. Between them lie years, choices, losses, meetings, mistakes, new beginnings and enough life for you not to have to go in through the same door in the same way. If one day you find yourself in the familiar scene again and this time take another road, open another door, or simply decide that there is no longer any reason to stay there, remember that moment. Perhaps the dream has come back for the last time.
If the recurring dream has led to an old relationship, a loss, a choice or a period that has ended while its rule still takes part in your present life, you can carry on into Letting Go in the Game of the Soul and see what from that story you still carry with you. If the repetition leads further back — to a parent, a family role, a home, a repeating scenario, or a feeling that seems to have been in the family long before you — the continuation is The Lineage. A recurring dream keeps a story across the years; sometimes the most interesting question is when it actually began.
If you would first like to understand which image keeps returning in your dreams at all, take the test “Which messenger comes in your dreams?” — twelve night images and one theme for each of them.
And if the same dream keeps coming back over months or years, begin with the article “The Recurring Dream: why it comes back and what it wants to tell you”. It also holds the way to keep a dream journal, so that you can see what repeats and what is already changing.
The dream itself — with the people, the place, the feeling on waking and the detail that will not leave you alone — take to Dream Interpretation in the Game of the Soul. What you read stays in the Book, so that you can come back to it months later.
The first seven days in the game are free and need no card. Dream Interpretation and the journal in Moon & Tarot are part of the trial period and of every subscription.
