Which lunar path will your wish take?

You have a wish you think about a little more than you admit. It may be a person, and you are waiting for it to become clear at last where the two of you are heading. It may be work, more money, a new home, a journey, or that personal “I want” you have been shifting for months from “soon” to “when the time is right”. Or perhaps you have already done everything sensible and reached that lovely human moment when you check your phone for the seventh time, as if between 14:32 and 14:34 fate were obliged to issue an official statement.

Think of just one wish. Let it be the one you would pick if someone said: “Fine, you get one — which is it?”. Do not edit it to sound more spiritual, more correct or more elevated. If you want Ivan to call, think of Ivan. If you want 3,000 euros, there is no need to suddenly rename them “abundance”. If you want to change jobs, let it be a job. The Moon is unlikely to take offence at being specific.

Now look at the four images and choose the one that draws you first: the key, the lit path, the reflection in the water or the boat on the river. Do not look for the prettiest one and do not try to guess which variant promises the best outcome. Each image is a different part of one lunar cycle and takes the wish down a different path.

After you choose, you will find out what may unfold around your wish during the next lunar cycle, which event will matter, what to watch in love, work, money or a big change, and at what moment the story may turn. Each variant also comes with a personal practice linked to its image, so that the wish does not remain just a pretty sentence on a sheet of paper that you find six months later between the coffee machine warranty and an old receipt.

Choose the image your eyes keep returning to on their own, then read your variant to the end. You may be given an opportunity, see the continuation of something already begun, learn the missing part of the story, or discover what has to end so that the next direction can open. One wish, one lunar cycle and four possible paths. Which one is yours?

Choose the image that draws you first

Touch the picture. Only your variant opens.

1The Key

You chose the key and the door left ajar, and that is the image of a wish that has already reached the border between the dream and the first real opportunity. There is light behind the door, but you cannot yet see what awaits you inside. That is how I would read your wish too: it has a road ahead, and what comes next is a chance to bring it much closer to reality. The final result comes later. During the next lunar cycle, expect something that changes the present situation — a conversation, an invitation, an offer, news, a meeting or a decision, after which you will no longer be able to say that nothing is happening around your wish.

The first development will probably come fairly quietly, and that is exactly why you might underestimate it. Someone will mention something, you will get a message, you will come across information, a person will appear or an opportunity will arise that at first does not look quite like what you expected. The door in the picture is ajar, and for me that is the important detail — you will not be starting from zero. Something is already taking shape on the other side, even if you do not yet have access to the whole picture.

By the full moon I would expect you to receive confirmation of where the wish is going. If there is uncertainty right now, it will begin to shrink. If you are waiting for an answer, information will appear. If you depend on another person’s decision, their behaviour will become clearer. If you are torn between two possibilities, one of them will begin to open more. And if nothing has happened for a long time, this very cycle may bring the first event that changes the present situation. I would not expect everything to be finished within two weeks, but I would expect you to know by then whether there is a way and where it runs.

There is also a small twist. The opportunity may not look exactly the way you ordered it. If you have decided in advance which door the wish must come through, you risk missing the one life is actually opening. You may be waiting for one person and another may appear; you may be chasing a certain job and receive an offer in a direction you have never considered; you may think you need a specific sum and find a way to increase your income instead; you may dream of a particular place and suddenly come across another that turns out to be much closer to the life you really want.

If your wish is about love

With a love wish, the Key brings an opening of the situation. If there is a particular person, I would expect movement around them that gives you more clarity — contact, a conversation, a meeting or behaviour that shows you whether there is a real door between you. If the relationship has been frozen, something may break the silence, but afterwards what matters is what follows the first contact. A “How are you?” at 22:36 is, after all, not yet a proposal for a joint mortgage.

If there is no one at the moment, this choice is very interesting, because it speaks of a new possibility that may come in through a change in your usual route — an invitation, an event, friends, work, a trip or a place where you had not even planned to be. Watch for the person with whom conversation flows unusually easily. With this image, love begins with an opening, and afterwards you will find out what lies behind it.

If your wish is about work or money

I expect a concrete opportunity that will first look like a small step but may open a larger direction. It could be an offer, a new client, an extra project, a conversation with someone who has a useful contact, an application you thought had little chance, or an idea for earning from something you already know how to do. If you are waiting for money, I would watch where a new channel appears, instead of only when a certain sum arrives. The Key is an image of access, and with a financial wish it is precisely access to a new opportunity that matters more than a one-off payment.

If your wish is about a home, a journey or a big change

Something that has so far looked hard to organise may become more concrete. Information, a vacancy, a document, a price, a person, an offer or a decision appears and removes one of the obstacles. If you have long been saying “I want to, but I don’t know where to start”, this cycle may literally give you the starting point. More steps will follow, but you will no longer be looking at the wish only from a distance.

What I would watch until the full moon

Your strongest period begins after the first opening. As soon as an opportunity appears, do not immediately file it under “I’ll think about it”. Check it, ask a question, reply to the message, go to the meeting, ask for details, send the documents. By the full moon it should become clear whether this door leads anywhere. If after your first step the situation starts giving more information, more contacts or a second development, I would take that as the strongest sign that you have found the right direction.

If a door closes before the full moon, do not rush to decide that the wish is over either. With your choice, a closed opportunity may free up space for the next one, especially if the old direction has kept you waiting for a long time. What opens after it matters more. This variant brings movement through choice, and that is why in the coming weeks you may need to say “yes” to something new or a final “no” to a door you have waited in front of for far too long.

Practice for fulfilment — “The Key”

In the first days of the waxing Moon, choose a real key that you can leave with your wish until the full moon. Write the wish as one clear sentence in the present tense, and under it complete: “The first door I can open towards this wish is…”, then write down one real action you can take in the next 24 hours. Make it concrete: a call, an application, a meeting, a message, checking the conditions, setting aside a sum, a registration, a conversation or another step that genuinely moves the matter forward.

Take the key in your hand, stand in front of your front door and read the wish once. Then say: “I open the way to what is ready to enter my life, and I recognise the door when it appears.” Open the door and step over the threshold, and by the end of the next day take the action you wrote down. Then leave the key on the sheet until the full moon and note on the back every real development around the wish — an offer, a meeting, a message, a new person, information, an idea or a change in circumstances.

At the full moon, read the sheet from the beginning and see what has opened since your action. If there has been a development, choose the next real step. If the direction has closed, write down what has appeared in its place. The point of this practice is to give the wish movement and to let you trace which action actually led to change.

The message of the Key

During the next lunar cycle an opportunity opens around your wish. It may come differently from what you expect, but it will give you access to the next part of the story. By the full moon you will know more than you know now, and a decision on your part will matter for what happens next. Do not wait to see the whole path behind the door. Your task is to recognise the moment it opens, and to walk in.

Write your wish in Moon & Tarot on FatedWays as well, follow what happens to it while the Moon waxes and come back to it at the full moon. That way you can compare your original intention with the real events and see whether the Key has already unlocked the first door.

2The Lit Path

You chose the path the figure is already walking. For the wish you have in mind, this is an important sign: the process has begun, and during the next lunar cycle you will find out how far it can take you. You may still be waiting for a result, an answer, or for the other person to finally do something clear enough that you no longer have to analyse a full stop after a message for half an evening. Even so, there is already a direction. Something has been done, said, decided or started, and now the next part is coming.

The waxing Moon lights only the stretch in front of the figure, while the distant goal is still in half-darkness. That is how I would read the development of your wish. First a small step forward will come, and after it a second event that tells you much more about where the story is heading. It is the second one that matters. One message may be chance, but if a conversation and an invitation to meet follow it, we have a direction. An application is an action, but if a phone call comes after it, the situation is different. An idea for a trip is a dream, but once a date and a ticket appear, we are talking about a plan.

In the first part of the cycle I would expect the continuation of something that already exists. Someone may call again, a conversation may get a second part, an offer may move to the next stage, a project may ask for more work, and a decision you made some time ago may start to bring its first visible result. It may be a small event, but it will have one feature — the next one will follow it. With your choice, this very sequence is what matters.

Towards the full moon the picture should become more concrete. Something that is now a hope, an idea or a plan may get a name, a date, a price, a place, a meeting, an offer or a decision. You may not have reached the final goal yet, but you will be able to judge much more clearly whether you are moving towards it. If you have been putting in effort for a long time and wondering whether there is any point, this period may give you the answer through real development.

There is one catch with your choice, though. When someone walks towards something for a long time, they start staring so hard at the distant light that they stop noticing how much of the road they have already covered. You may get a small result and immediately say: “Yes, but I wanted more.” Someone may take a step towards you while you are already waiting for the next five. Your income may rise, but because it is not yet the sum you wrote on the sheet, you may decide nothing much has happened. In this cycle the small results matter, because one of them may turn out to be the start of the acceleration.

If your wish is about love

If you are thinking of a particular person, I would expect the relationship to move into its next stage. That may mean more contact, a new meeting, a conversation about something that has so far been left unsaid, or an action from the other side that gives you a clearer idea of what place you have in their life. In this scene, what comes after the first contact matters more. If the person writes, then asks to meet, and after that keeps being present, the path is taking shape. If every contact ends and you have to start everything over again, by the full moon you may realise that you have been walking almost alone.

A development you have long been waiting for may also finally become more concrete. A relationship without a clear name may ask for a definition. An acquaintance may become more personal. Someone at a distance may suggest meeting. If there are already feelings between you, in this cycle I would watch actions more than beautiful words. A path is walked with your feet, however lovely the messages at two in the morning may sound.

If there is no particular person right now, a new acquaintance may appear while you are busy with something quite different — work, a course, a trip, an event, a shared interest or a circle of friends. What is interesting in this scene is that the connection may begin naturally and gradually grow more important. The first meeting will not necessarily ring any bells, but there will be a reason for a second one.

If your wish is about work or money

With work I would expect a second stage. If you have already applied, there may be a new interview, a test, a meeting or an offer. If you run your own business, someone you have already talked to may come back with concrete interest, and a small project may lead to the next. Someone may also recommend you or link your name to an opportunity you did not even know about.

With money, the development looks gradual but has the potential to build up. A second source of income may open, one client may bring another, a skill may start earning more, or a decision you made earlier may finally produce a financial result. Watch where the repetition comes from. If one action brings a result twice, you already have something worth developing.

If you are waiting for a specific sum, it may arrive in parts or through several different sources. With your choice, I would look at the overall movement of your finances until the full moon rather than at one single day.

If your wish is about a home, a journey or a big change

What has so far been “some day” begins to acquire details. A date, a price, a place, a document or a particular person may turn the wish into a plan. If you are thinking of a new town or a new home, you may find an area, a flat or a financial option that changes your calculations. If you dream of a journey, specific dates may appear, or a person to travel with. If it is about studying or a career change, one piece of information may settle when and where you begin.

By the full moon I would expect you to know at least one important detail that is still missing now. It may even change your original route. This does not mean you are giving up the wish. You may simply discover a shorter way to it.

Where the twist comes

For you, the twist may appear just when you are convinced you already know the route. Then another opportunity, offer or piece of information arrives and makes you change the plan. If the final goal stays the same, do not cling to the way you decided you must reach it. The path may bend and still lead to the same place.

If one direction starts demanding enormous effort with no response at all, while another starts developing naturally, pay attention to the difference. In this cycle you will be able to learn a great deal from the response you get to your own actions. You take a step and life answers with another opportunity — keep watching. You take ten and everything stays exactly where it was — the route probably needs to change.

Personal ritual for the wish — “The Road to the Full Moon”

Do this practice in the first days of the waxing Moon and choose a place outdoors that you like — a park, a street, an avenue, a path by the water or a route you enjoy walking. What matters is that you can be alone with yourself for a while. Before you go out, write your wish on a small sheet of paper. Under it write: “When this becomes part of my life, an ordinary day of mine will look like this…”

Do not describe the fairy-tale ending. Choose a completely ordinary moment. If the wish is love, picture an evening with that person when there is nothing left to guess between the lines. If it is work, see yourself on an ordinary Monday in the place you are aiming for. If it is money, picture yourself paying for something that worries you now without calculating the balance three times. If it is a home, see your morning in it. This picture is your distant light.

Put the sheet in your pocket and start walking. After a few minutes, pick a point ahead of you — a tree, a lamp, a bench, a bend — and tell yourself: “That is as far as my next step goes.” As you walk towards it, think of one thing only: which action in my present life would bring me closest to the ordinary day I described?

When you reach the chosen point, stop. Write on the sheet the first concrete answer you can actually carry out. Not “believe more”, “be open” or “attract the right energy”. Let it be an action: call, ask, apply, arrange a meeting, set aside a certain sum, buy a ticket, check the documents, start the project. Do it within 48 hours.

Then put the sheet away until the full moon. Each time there is a real development around the wish, add one short sentence and the date. Do not look for coincidences on purpose. Write down only what actually changes the situation.

At the full moon, go back to the same place and walk the same route again. Take the sheet with you. When you reach the point you chose the first time, read what has happened over the past days and ask yourself: “What is my next step now?” If the wish has moved forward, write down the new action. If the direction has changed, write down the new route. And if you have already received what you asked for, you can simply carry on with your walk. After a wish comes true, a person is entitled to at least five minutes without setting the next task.

The message of the Lit Path

Your wish already has a direction. While the Moon waxes, expect the first development, and after it watch whether a second, connected one follows — it is the continuation that will give you the most important clue. Towards the full moon, something that is now only an idea, a hope or an expectation may become concrete: a meeting, a date, an offer, a sum, a place or a decision. The route may change along the way, but the goal may stay the same. If another opportunity follows your step, your wish is already closer to reality than it looks now.

In Moon & Tarot on FatedWays you can write the wish down at the start of the waxing Moon and note the real developments until the full moon. When you later read them together, you will see how far you have walked and whether the light in the distance is still the place you want to walk towards.

3The Reflection in the Water

You chose the full Moon, the water and that strange reflection in which more can be seen than a person sees at a single glance. Of the four images, this one is most connected with the resolution and the truth around the wish. Something has gone far enough to start revealing what is really happening. During the next lunar cycle I would expect a missing part of the picture to come to light — a conversation, a confession, a meeting, a result, a decision, a sum, a document or information after which you will look at your wish differently.

For you, the most important development will probably come around the full moon or in the days right next to it. If you are waiting for an answer, this period brings a chance of getting it. If you are wondering what someone feels, their behaviour may become far more telling. If you are expecting a decision about work, money or a deal, concrete facts will appear. If you have asked for a big change, an event may happen that finally lets you judge whether the direction is real.

There is something else interesting here. The revelation may not be what you expect. In water, images are reflected, but the perspective is different. You may find out that the person you thought distant is actually far more involved. Or that someone whose words you relied on is far more sparing in their actions. An offer that looks wonderful from afar may come with a condition that changes everything. And an opportunity you almost passed by may suddenly turn out to be much more valuable than you assumed.

So with this choice I would expect a surprise in the detail. You probably already know the big theme. You are missing one detail, and that detail may turn the direction around. One word in a conversation. One figure. One confession. One document. One action by a person that says more than everything heard before it. After it, it will be much harder to go on explaining the situation to yourself the old way.

What may come to light

In the first part of the cycle, watch what starts repeating around your wish. One theme may come up in several conversations. A person may take a second action that confirms the first. Information you heard by chance may be confirmed by another source. Something that has so far been only a feeling will gradually begin to gather facts.

Towards the full moon I would expect a moment of clarity. It may be big and obvious, but it may also come in a completely everyday way — the phone rings, an email arrives, someone says a single sentence, you see a number in a document or you receive an offer. And suddenly you understand why the earlier parts of the story looked exactly the way they did.

After that moment your wish may change. You may want it even more, because now you see a real way towards it. You may change one part of it. Or you may realise that you have been chasing its image while your real wish was slightly different. That is development too, because afterwards you will know much more precisely what to ask for at the next new moon.

If your wish is about love

If you are thinking of a particular person, this cycle may give you the clearest information so far about their feelings or intentions. Expect a conversation, a meeting or an action that changes the present uncertainty. If there is attraction between you but no one has named what is happening, the subject may become harder to avoid. If you are waiting for the person to take a step, around the full moon you will be much better able to judge whether they are ready to.

With this choice I would listen to the words, but I would watch even more closely what follows them. A confession followed by presence, meetings and initiative has one value. A confession followed by seven days of silence and a mysterious “I’ve been really busy” has quite another. The Mirror is rather merciless towards pretty versions of the story when the actions tell a different one.

You may also learn something you did not know before — a decision the person has made, a circumstance in their life, a feeling they have kept quiet about, or the reason for behaviour you found hard to understand. This may bring closeness, but it may also give you a reason to change your expectations. What matters is that the period of guessing is coming to an end.

If there is no particular person, an acquaintance may appear with a very strong sense of recognition. The conversation flows easily, the person seems strangely familiar, or you quickly reach personal topics. Give that feeling time to turn into real actions. With the Mirror, the first impression is strong, and the true value becomes clear a little after it.

If your wish is about work or money

With work I would expect a result, an assessment or a decision. If you have had an interview, a test or an important conversation, an answer may come. If you are waiting for an offer, the terms may become concrete. If you are already working on a project, you will get data on whether your effort is leading to the result you expect. There may also be recognition for something you did earlier that only now becomes visible to the right person.

If the wish is financial, the numbers will start to speak around it. A sum, a price, a fee, a quote, a contract or an expense may settle a question you have so far looked at mostly through hope. You may receive money you are waiting for, find out the exact value of an offer or see where your financial plan needs to change.

Your own worth may also become visible. Someone may offer more than you expected, ask for a skill you considered secondary, or give you an idea of how something you already know how to do could bring in income. If you have long been working for less than you deserve, this cycle may present you with a very interesting bill. And bills, unlike people, rarely say “we’ll see”.

If your wish is about a home, a journey or a big change

With these wishes comes the meeting with reality, and it can be very useful. A home you have only looked at in photos may reach a viewing. The trip may get a date and a price. A change of home may depend on a document or decision that finally arrives. A course or a new direction may become possible because of information you have been missing until now.

The interesting thing is that when a dream becomes concrete, you may discover a new wish inside it. You see the flat and realise you want a different neighbourhood. You check the trip and change the dates. You get the chance to live somewhere else and realise what you actually want to take with you into your next life. For you, the concrete details will help the wish become more precise.

Where the twist comes

The twist with the Mirror has to do with the difference between what you expect and what you will see. There is a good chance that part of your assumptions will be confirmed and another part will turn out differently. It is precisely this difference that will be valuable.

If the wish depends on another person, they may do something that finally defines their role in the story. If it depends on a decision, the outcome may point you to your next move. If it depends mainly on you, you may find out what you are ready to do only once the opportunity becomes real.

Some wishes look wonderful while they are far away. Then life brings them closer and asks: “All right, do you really want this?” For you, that question may come quite literally during the next cycle. And your answer will matter.

Personal ritual for the wish — “The Two Sides of the Water”

Do this practice in the evening around the full moon. You will need a small clear bowl or glass of water, two small slips of paper and a pen. Place the water between the two slips.

On the first, write your wish the way you phrase it now. Just one sentence. Add the date under it.

On the second, write one question: “What else do I need to see about this wish?”

Leave the two slips on either side of the water and sit for a few minutes without your phone, music or anything else to do. Look at the water and imagine the wish already fulfilled, but this time do not picture the big beautiful moment. See an ordinary day after it. How do you wake up? Who is next to you? What are you doing? What are you paying for? Where are you going? How do you feel in the evening? It is the ordinary day that will tell you far more about the wish than the festive ending.

Then take the second slip and on its back write one fact you already know about this situation but have so far set aside. Just a fact. No explanations of why the person did it, why the employer still has not called or how the Universe probably has a bigger plan. If someone has not written for two weeks, the fact is “has not written for two weeks”. If you have received a good offer, the fact is the specific offer. If you do not have enough money for what you want, write down the exact amount you are missing.

Then say silently: “I see what is in front of me, and I choose with open eyes.”

Pour out the water and put the two slips away together. Until the next new moon, write on the second slip only the new facts that appear around the wish — a conversation, a meeting, an action, an offer, a sum, a decision, a document, a result. No interpretation.

At the next new moon, place the two slips side by side. On the left will be the wish you wrote. On the right, what actually happened. Read them and ask yourself: “After everything I now know, how do I phrase my wish?”

Write the new sentence on a clean sheet. It may be exactly the same. It may become more precise. It may change completely. Or in the meantime you may already have received part of what you asked for.

This is your Mirror — the place where the wish meets the facts, and from that meeting your next choice is born.

The message of the Mirror

During this lunar cycle your wish is approaching its moment of truth. Around the full moon, expect a development that gives you a missing part of the picture — a conversation, a confession, a result, a decision, a sum, a meeting or information. Something you have so far only sensed may be confirmed, and something you were convinced of may look different once you see the whole picture. After that moment you will know much more clearly whether there is a continuation and what you can expect. With the Mirror, the most important thing comes when the reflection and reality finally match.

In Moon & Tarot on FatedWays, write your wish down and come back to it after the full moon, when you will have more facts. Compare what you expected with what actually happened. With your choice, it is exactly this difference that may turn out to be the most important clue for the next lunar cycle.

4The Boat on the River

You chose the boat the current is already carrying away, and that is a special sign for your wish. During the next lunar cycle something around it will begin to complete its role, and it is exactly this change that will free up space for the next development. And do not rush to decide what exactly is leaving. It may be a person, a job, a commitment or an opportunity, but it is just as likely that the waiting, the distance, the financial limitation, the period of uncertainty or the way a story has been unfolding so far will come to an end. For you, the ending may turn out to be the border between two completely different parts of one and the same story.

The waning Moon in your scene speaks of a period in which what is no longer needed gradually loses its power. The boat is already on the water, and the person is not running after it along the bank with the idea of fetching it back in five minutes. Something has gone far enough, and in the coming weeks it will become much clearer what has a future and what has fulfilled its role. If you have been waiting a long time for a decision, the waiting may end. If a relationship has been in an undefined state, a conversation may come after which you know where you are heading. If a financial matter has been limiting you, it may be settled. If an old commitment has been keeping you from starting something new, it may finally be left behind.

That is why the first important event for you may look like an ending, but the real prediction is what starts happening after it. One contract ends and you receive another offer. An old debt is paid off and suddenly you have money for a plan you have been postponing. A person makes a decision and the relationship finally gets a clear direction. You give up your original route and an option appears that you had never even considered. With the Boat, change clears space, and it is exactly that space that will be most interesting in the coming weeks.

There is one more possibility. The boat may carry away the address at which you have been waiting for your wish, while the wish itself stays. You may want love and be convinced of who has to give it to you. You may want more money and believe that your current job is the only way. You may dream of change and have already written the whole script down to the last comma. During this cycle part of the script may fall away, and that is exactly when you will see that the wish itself is still alive. The road to it is simply different now.

If your wish is about love

If you are thinking of a particular person, I would expect an end to the present uncertainty. It may be a conversation, a meeting, a decision or an action that changes the way the relationship has developed so far. If there is a real possibility between you, the old pattern will have to end so that the next stage can begin. The distance may shrink, the silence may be broken, a relationship without a clear name may get a direction, or a conflict that has dragged on for a long time may finally be closed.

Someone from the past may appear again, but this time the question will be what they bring with them. If there is different behaviour, a concrete proposal or a readiness to do what was missing before, the story may take on a new form. If all that returns is the familiar “I miss you”, followed by another disappearance into the fog three days later, the river probably already knows what to do with that boat.

In a relationship where you have long waited for the other person to decide what they want, the moment may come when the decision comes from you. This also changes the future of the wish, because it frees up space for a relationship in which you will not have to keep guessing what the last message means.

If there is no particular person, a new acquaintance may appear after an old emotional story has finally ended. There may have been no relationship for a long time, yet comparison, hope or memory may still be influencing your choices. When that begins to lose its power, the person you let close to you may also be completely different.

If your wish is about work or money

With work, this choice may bring the completion of one professional stage and free up space for the next. A project may end successfully, a probation period may finish with a decision, temporary work may turn into something more secure, a contract may be renewed on different terms, or you may realise that your current direction has already given you everything it can. If something falls away, watch what appears after it, because the new offer may come fairly soon after the old commitment is released.

With a financial wish I would also look at what ends as an expense. A debt may be paid off, a costly commitment may fall away, a purchase may be completed, or you may find a way to stop a drain of money you have so far accepted as unavoidable. This may change your financial position even before new income appears.

Another scenario is also possible — the way you have been earning so far begins to lose importance, while another skill, client, project or idea gets more room. If over the coming weeks one direction gradually shrinks while another starts bringing more results, I would pay serious attention to exactly this shift.

If your wish is about a home, a journey or a big change

With a big change, the Boat often brings the moment when the preparation ends and the real crossing into the new begins. A document may finally be ready, an old contract may end, a home may be vacated, an item may be sold, a decision may be made, or a circumstance that has been holding you back may lose its former power. Something that has so far been only a plan may become possible precisely because an old task has been completed.

If the wish is about a journey, you may change the date, the route or the place and find a better option. If it is about a new home somewhere else, you may first need to close a practical matter around your current one. If it is about studying or a new professional life, an old responsibility may end and give you time to begin. For you, change will not come only from wanting something new; you will feel it most strongly at the moment when nothing is left to pull you back to where you were.

Where the twist comes

The twist with the Boat comes after an event that may at first seem like a final answer. That is exactly when you should not rush to conclusions. Give the story a little time and see what changes after it. A refused opportunity may point you towards another. A finished commitment may free up time for a person or a project. A decision in love may end months of uncertainty and finally let you choose from reality instead of from hope.

The first days after the change will be especially important. If a new conversation, offer, idea, invitation or inner readiness to do something you have long postponed appears straight away, do not pass it by. With your choice, the next direction may become visible very soon after the old one is released.

If something from the past returns during this period, look at what it comes back with. New conditions, actions and concrete decisions matter. The old may earn a place in your next cycle when it comes back in a new way. If everything looks exactly the same, it is probably just checking whether you are still keeping a free spot on the bank.

What I would expect by the next new moon

By the next new moon I would expect it to become clear what is ending and what is freed up after it. This is the moment when you can look back over the past weeks and see what no longer has the same power over your decisions. It may be a person, an expectation, a financial limitation, a commitment, a fear or an old plan. What matters is that the new cycle begins with more space.

And it is precisely then that the first real clue to the next development may appear. A new opportunity, offer, person, idea or decision may look small at first, but it will have one important quality — it will not require you to go back to what you have already finished. If you sense that difference, pay attention to it.

Personal ritual for the wish — “The Boat I Let Go”

Do this practice while the Moon is waning. You will need a sheet of paper, a pen and a bowl of water. We will let the real river get on with its river business, because wishes can develop beautifully without us sending paper messages into the nearest ecosystem. At the top of the sheet, write your wish exactly as you phrase it now, and under it complete the sentence: “To make room for this wish, I am finishing with…”

Write down just one concrete thing that has already served its purpose. It may be waiting, a commitment, an unnecessary expense, an old plan, an object, an unfinished task, a conversation you keep postponing, or a way of acting that keeps bringing you back to the same place. Then fold the sheet into a small paper boat and place it on the water. Leave it for a few minutes and say silently: “I let what is complete leave, and I make room for what I want to live in my next cycle.”

Take the boat out and let it dry until the next morning. Then unfold it and read what you wrote. By the end of the day, take one real action of completion. Cancel the unnecessary expense, finish the document, let go of the object, have the conversation, turn down the commitment, finish the task or make the decision you have been putting off. If the matter involves a person, there is no need for a three-hour final monologue with background music. It is enough for your own action to be clear.

Then take a clean sheet and write your wish again. Read it and see whether it sounds the same. Perhaps one word has changed. Perhaps the person no longer appears in it. Perhaps you want the same thing, but in a different way. Keep this sheet until the next new moon and write underneath only the real things that begin to appear in the freed-up space — more time, money saved, a new conversation, an invitation, an idea, a person, an offer or the wish to do something you had no room for before.

At the new moon, read what you have written and phrase the wish once more. This time you will be writing it from the beginning of a new cycle, and the boat will have stayed in the previous one.

The message of the Boat

During the next lunar cycle something around your wish completes its role so far and frees up space for change. It may be a person or an opportunity, but it may also be the waiting, the distance, the uncertainty, the financial limitation or the period in which the wish was only a plan that comes to an end. Watch closely what starts happening after this change, because that is where the next direction may appear. By the new moon you will see much more clearly what stays behind you and what you want to take with you into the new cycle. The Boat carries away what is complete, and the wish goes on with more room ahead of it.

In Moon & Tarot on FatedWays you can write your wish down at the end of this cycle and come back to it at the next new moon. Compare how you phrased it before the letting go and how it sounds afterwards. You may find that the wish has stayed the same, while the road to it has become completely different.

What comes next

Whichever image you chose, your wish needs a place where you can follow it. In Moon & Tarot on FatedWays you write it down at the start of the cycle, see the exact moments of the new and full moon and the void-of-course hours, and come back to it when the Moon is full.
