In classical palmistry one can also look for periods of time, likely directions of events and finer changes along certain lines.
For that, however, one examines very small secondary lines, crossings and signs that an ordinary photograph doesn't always capture well enough. The lighting, the quality of the camera and the skin itself can hide precisely those details on which the more precise timing reading is based.
