Agate is grounding and calming, supporting the achievement of emotional, physical and intellectual balance.
It helps with centring and stabilising physical energy. It harmonises Yin and Yang — the positive and negative forces that keep the universe in equilibrium. Agate helps build self-confidence and self-esteem, improves mental function, deepens concentration, and enhances perceptive and analytical abilities.
It can help a person overcome negativity and bitterness of the heart. The crystal works on releasing anger and encourages love and courage for a new beginning.
On a physical level, Agate has strong healing properties in the area of the throat. It counteracts blocked self-expression, overcomes issues with the shoulders and neck, thyroid deficiencies, and infections of the throat and lymphatic system.
Among its other abilities are reducing fever, healing arthritic and bone deformities, maintaining the skeletal system, and it can sometimes be beneficial in the treatment of fractures.
